CareerShop™

DeVry's CareerShop is an exciting, new interactive, multimedia workshop that will engage students through the use of electronic hand-held devices (PDAs) and a personalized approach to personality assessment and career exploration. CareerShop will enable students to create personal avatars and to investigate potential careers in a variety of real-life settings. Snap-shots of a variety of work environments provide a multitude of career definitions, describe the tasks associated with the careers, offer examples of companies where the careers could be performed and highlight the skills required for the particular careers.

A leave-behind personality/career wheel and the ability to visit a unique web site will enable students to continue the exploration of careers on their own. Links to other helpful web sites will help students focus on the all-important decisions they need to make about their plans to attend college.
