How does Advantage Academy work?
It's almost too good to be true! If you are a qualified high school junior or senior enrolled in a Chicago Public School, you can take courses at DeVry and get college credits - for free! With a little extra effort, you can jump ahead of the pack and into a whole new world of possibilities.
What are the benefits?
Dual Enrollment: If you're an over-achiever, this should be music to your ears! You can take college and high school courses at the same time. Attend classes at the Chicago campus of DeVry University, 3300 N. Campbell Ave. (near Belmont and Western)
Accelerated Education: Get a jumpstart on your career (and impress everyone you know!) by graduating with an associate degree in Network Systems Administration AND with your high school diploma at the same time.
No Cost for Eligible Courses: You don't pay a thing! Tuition, books and technology charges are paid for by the Chicago Board of Education for eligible courses.

Who is eligible?
Chicago:
- To be eligible to apply to the DeVry University Advantage Academy, you must be:
- a Chicago Public School student who has successfully completed required 9th and 10th grade courses by June 2008
Who is eligible?
Columbus:
- Columbus City School students who will successfully complete required 9th and 10th grade courses by June 2008
- Students with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5
- Students with a high attendance rate
- Students who have passed the Ohio Graduation Test
You must have:
- a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5
- a high attendance rate (90%)
Interested Students must:
- Attend an information session with a parent or guardian
- Complete the Advantage Academy application form
- Meet standard enrollment requirements of DeVry University's placement test
- Demonstrate completion of course prerequisites
- Submit completed recommendation form
